If you have a computer that you use regularly and don’t want to replace it with a different one, you could be in luck.
According to a report by Computerworld, many major computer manufacturers have decided to adopt a standard that will allow them to ship products with “free replacement parts.”
That means the company that purchased your computer could sell you the same part on a different model.
It’s a major step toward ending the era of “no one wants a new computer,” and it’s a good one to get behind if you are in the market for a new machine, as there are still plenty of ways to get an upgrade to a new model.
