The computer programming language Horizon, which can be used to create an entire computer system from a single piece of hardware, is being used to develop the world’s first fully-fledged artificial intelligence (AI) system.
In addition to being able to program the computer system itself, Horizon could be used by any organisation to carry out research, develop products, or conduct business.
The company has already developed a small-scale prototype computer system that is used in medical research and is capable of running simulations on its own, while its second prototype system has been used to perform deep learning, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
“Horizon is a programming language that is specifically designed to be used as a system for the creation of intelligent software.
It can be written in a programming environment, which means that it can be run on the internet,” Horizon founder and CEO Richard Marder told Al Jazeera.”
It’s very simple, but it’s also very powerful and extremely scalable.
It is one of the first programming languages in the world to be able to do both of those things.”
The computer system is currently being used by Horizon to develop a medical device.
In this example, a sensor is attached to a computer chip.
The device can be programmed to send an electric shock to the sensor to measure its current state.
The system uses a computer called a ‘chip’ that can be connected to a power source, which uses a battery.
This example uses a video camera to measure the current state of the device.
The computer can then be programmed with a set of rules, which specify the precise action the chip should take.
The chip can be configured to generate a series of actions that will generate an output.
Each action in the sequence will then trigger a corresponding output in the chip, which is then fed into the power source.
“This allows us to start generating action sequences and output them to the power,” Mardar said.
“These are all the things that are used in our hardware, and we can program the chips to do those things, too.”
The chip is connected to an external circuit board and connected to the internet via a cable.
When the power is turned on, the chip will start generating an action sequence, which will then be sent to the processor, which processes it.
Horizon, which has raised $20 million to develop Horizon software, is currently looking to commercialise the chip system.
Marder believes the company is well placed to do this, given the rapid advancement of the field of artificial intelligence, with the ability to build an AI system that can take advantage of the speed and flexibility of the internet.
“There’s no question that the internet is where AI has the potential to really take off,” he said.
“So, there’s lots of opportunities for us in terms of the future of computing and AI.
We’ve got the ability, the funding, the talent.”
The technology will be used in the development of a new generation of medical devices.
While Horizon has yet to prove its AI system is capable, Marders believes the technology can potentially transform healthcare.
“In the future, in the healthcare industry, there will be a whole lot of opportunities to build and commercialise AI, and that’s why we need to be in a position to do that,” he told Aljazeera.
“I think we’ve made a great start, but we need more.
Horizon is going to be a game-changer for healthcare.”
